Moisture-Absorbing & Quick-Drying Yarn
2024-09-06
The "moisture-absorbing and quick-drying" yarn uses a unique spinning technology to give the yarn micro-grooves. When sweat contacts the fabric, it enters the inner surface of the fabric in the form of liquid water, and is transported to the outer surface of the fabric through the capillary action generated by the micro-grooves between the yarns or fibers. Then it evaporates into water vapor and quickly diffuses into the outer space, achieving the purpose of moisture absorption and quick drying, keeping the skin dry.
Typical example
Sports bra: After exercise, the human body sweats a lot. Bras made of ordinary fibers have poor moisture absorption and release properties, which easily form high humidity areas in the micro environment of the clothes, making people feel stuffy and sticky. However, sports bras made of moisture-absorbing and sweat-wicking yarn can quickly dry sweat and keep the clothes dry. When wearing, the skin will not feel wet or sticky due to sweating, and the body will feel comfortable.
End Applications: Sportswear, Outdoor Leisure Wear, Underwear, Dance wear, Baby Wear, Shirts.
What material is the best for moisture-wicking fabric? The moisture-wicking fabrics on the market are usually made of the following materials:
Polyester. Polyester is cheaper, easier to handle and dries quickly, and is the most common material for moisture-wicking fabrics.
Nylon. Nylon is more durable and feels smoother, but because of its high water content, it dries slower than polyester. Despite this, nylon is also a very common material for moisture-wicking fabrics.
Cotton. Cotton can absorb water quickly, but it cannot quickly remove water. If it is casual clothing, you can still use cotton-containing fabrics, but if it is sportswear that will cause a lot of sweat, it may not be suitable to use cotton-containing fabrics.
